OK put your hands up, admit it, who here also waits for Halloween to enter the stores so you can go buy normal house decorations for yourself? LOL. Nothing like some Gothic decorations for your everday living! Halloween is always a fascinating time of year for me, even if we don't really celebrate it in Australia to the extent they do in America. I have to admit I love decorating and having fancy dress parties so part of me secretly hopes one day our street becomes one of those that go all out at Halloween. From the screaming witches that go off as you walk past, to the cobweb covered house and trees, to the fake gravesites on the front lawn. Nothing like a little bit of macbre in your life. If you're like me and these sort of things get the tingles going then let me tell you about a few events that are happening around the Perth area this Halloween
Some of you may be going yeah but I want something a little more scary at Halloween, something that's gonna make me scream like a little girl. Let me present to you Hatchet, an interactive horror experience run by the crew at Hunted available for only one night on Saturday 29th October. For your hard earned dollars you will be transported by a coach to an unknown dark and mysterious location. Suddenly you find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time. How do you react, how do you deal? You must connect with the complete strangers who arrived with you to survive mad, axe wielding locals but it's ok because it's all just actors and theatre! Or is it.............. Suddenly you are IN the horror movie, don't lose your head!. Pop on over to the Hunted Page and book your tickets now if you dare!!!
So let's calm that down a little now and head over to Boo at the Zoo, designed for your kids, big and little, in mind. You can all dress up in your favourite Halloween costume and enjoy the zoo after hours. There will be halloween themed food to buy and trick or treat trails to follow. But watch out for the Grim Kreeper who will be keeping watch over the Extinction Graveyard. Plenty of activities will abound during the night, including a monster mash disco and the event will run on Saturday the 29th October from 5pm till 8pm. Bookings can be made on the Perth Zoo Website and costs a tiny $15.50
Nothing says Halloween like a good psychic event so if that's what you're interested in then head over to Mash Brewery for their Psychic dinner on Saturday 29th October. The dinner is from 6pm for a 6.30pm start and includes an amazing 3 courses as well as 3 different psychic readings per person! Drinks are not included but Mash Brewery is a world class craft brewery so I'm sure you won't have any problems sorting that out yourself. Tickets for the whole evening are $115 which is great value for a meal and 3 readings and can be booked on their Website!
That's just a couple of events that are happening in Perth this Halloween there are many others designed for young and old alike. Grab your treat bag, pop your best cozzy on and have a great Halloween whatever you decide to do!
