Remember that time Brian J Cano toured across three Australian states and took part in eleven events? Ghosts of Oz caught up with Brian to chat about his Aussie adventures and his Paranormal life!
Stand out location andexperience?
All the locations were unique and held intrinsic as well as historical value but two stood out to me as being very different from places I've done before: the National Railway Museum and Old Tailem Town (way to go, South Australia! lol) The first because, well, who doesn't love trains? The communication we got there was pretty interesting and the variety of well-kept and restored train cars was impressive. Old Tailem Town, however, took the cake as far as vastness goes - it was huge and every building had it's purpose spelled out exactly in a way that allows for a literal trip back in time. I could investigate there for a month solid and only scratch the surface!
As far as experiences go - I'd have to say the two times we got the Psychic Projection Experiment to work were pretty rewarding!
Best non Paranormal things you saw/experienced/ate?
Three weeks in three states offered me up a wonderful selection of the best Australia has to offer and I believe I sampled most of it. It's hard for me to pick one, or even a couple, since I enjoyed it all. But, I will say that as opposed to last year when I returned home with tales of STD carrying marsupials, this year I have been regaling people with reports of how good the alleyways of Melbourne smelled! Great food joints in every nook and cranny!
The comedy film that will parallel our adventures will go in to casting as soon as the script is finalized - with music by Lionel Richie!.
What do you see as the biggest difference between Aussie Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters in the US?
How do I say this without disparaging my US brethren…? I find the Aussie investigators to be more…mature. And by that I mean, they seem to be a few steps further down the road than we are, much like the way an older brother is to his younger sibling. And I'm talking about an age difference of only a year or two. I'm not sure of the schooling structure there, but here it would be like the older brother is a freshman in high school and the younger in middle school. It doesn't mean they are smarter or more capable - perhaps it's because they have not been distracted by as many of the shows as we have. I find that much of what I do is getting people to break out of the practice of imitation and I find the TV shows to be at the center of much of what puts people on the wrong path - albeit temporarily.
In each location you told Investigators that you have been running the same experiment for 10 years and until Australia had results 9 times, you know have number 10 and 11. Can you give us a snap shot of the experiment and what you find most interesting about the results so far.
I call it the "Psychic Projection Experiment" and the details of that can be found here: www.neverstopsearching.com/pexperiment2
I find that the more I do it, the more I'm getting positive results. Could it be that I am becoming more adept at focusing it? Are we experiencing a worldwide awakening? I don't know, but I intend on continuing the experiment and collecting more data.
If you could travel back in time what would you love to be able to tell Brian J Cano of 15 years ago when you first started out in all this?
"Say hi to the princesses for us!" ha ha (a bit of Bill & Ted humor)…I would tell him to be patient. I would tell him that we will need to have a conversation about a great many things, but that he is not yet ready. I would tell him that faith is not a weakness or a crutch, but that one can have it as well as an analytical mind. I'd also warn him of the event organizers to stay away from…lol
2017 has been an amazing adventure for you... Australia aside what has been a stand out?
2017 has been an amazing year, the crown jewel of my fifteen year journey. Much of this year has been spent traveling the world, meeting investigators in different countries and spreading my thoughts as well as the tenets of Paralosophy to the masses. I think I'm still processing it all. What a rush it has been - I hope I've been able to educate and inspire as much as I've been inspired by the places I've visited. England, Ireland, Australia, Mexico, Belize, and all over the United States - culminating last week with the World's Largest Ghost Hunt, where I was at the command center guiding the globe through my Bridge Experiment. I have been blessed and am thankful for this life I am allowed to lead.
In all your Paranormal adventures and spooky life so far, who has had the most influence or inspired you the most?
More and more I'm arriving at the conclusion of I Am We Are. We are all one and that being said, I am inspired by every single person I meet, for different reasons. Much like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, the aspects of her traveling companions mirror her own needs and areas for growth. I've been to Oz and back and I am certainly better for it.
What is next for Brian?
Therein lies the biggest question mark…I've produced an independent documentary series - SCARED!; been on a popular TV show - Haunted Collector; been published in both print magazines and featured and referenced in books; been interviewed on TV morning shows, podcasts and radio shows; created a paranormal card game and five expansions - The Three Pillars; gotten my mug in the back ground of motion pictures old and new - Big and Ghostbusters '16 to name a couple; acted on the small stage, lectured at universities, led public hunts; all the while not having a plan…I think the Universe just works through me - I think I plan on letting it guide me to the next adventure…who knows where that will lead? Never stop searching!
